Mutual Weirdness

I’ll admit, I’m weird.
I threaten my laptop, I yell at my hairbrush,
and talk to things that can’t talk back to me.
And quite frankly, you’re a little weird yourself.

You make my heart skip beats,
Your voice gives me butterflies.
You make me want to stay in your arms forever,
just to know that you’re real.

You leave me completely breathless
even when there’s nothing but silence
between us.

I talk to other guys, and laugh with other guys,
and even hug other guys. But none of them ever mean as
much to me as you do.

And as I look at the bigger picture,
I realise…
We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird.
And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours,
we join up with them and fall into mutual weirdness
and call it love.
